YAY! You have a shiny new brand that you’re itching to show off to the world. Congratulations! But wait… what do you do now? Where do you start? Before you dive in and announce your new brand, let’s talk about how to properly update everything. The truth is, your old brand (or lack of cohesive brand!) is probably in a few more places than you realize! If you want the full list of places to update to your brand, download my free guide here.
Psssst: Before we dive in, if you’re a past or current branding client of mine, I can update everything for you on a VIP day so let me know if you want to book some implementation time to get this off your plate! It can take more time than you might expect (if you aren’t used to doing it every day).
First things first, before I dive into where you should update your new brand, I want to encourage you to give yourself some time. You invested a lot of time and money into your new brand, and it’s worth taking your time to do it right. Your brand design won’t provide an ROI (or at least the same ROI) if your potential customers are seeing you show up inconsistently. Updating your brand across all platforms and materials can feel like a marathon, not a sprint. And that’s okay!
I’ve put together a guide that lists ALL the places you’ll need to update with your new brand. It’s super thorough, so make sure to download it here to keep yourself on track. But for now, let’s talk about a few things that are often missed:
First, let me just stress one more time that your brand consistency matters. You’ve invested in your business, now make sure your brand is everywhere it should be.
And here’s a fun stat for you: did you know 75% of people recognize a brand by its logo, 60% by its visual style, 45% by its signature color, and 25% by its unique voice (Renderforest, 2024)? When you show up consistently across all platforms, you will begin to build trust and recognition with your audience. The more consistent you are with your visuals, the faster you will start to build brand recognition.
As you’re staring at your new brand files, it might be time to consider any additional products or swag for your company. Do you offer client gifting? You might want design help for thank-you cards, packaging, or even branded items like water bottles and keychains. Even if you’re thinking about selling products in the future (like this med spa), planning your branding now will save you time and ensure everything looks cohesive.
I know this might feel a little self-serving but let’s be real—having a go-to designer can save you a ton of time and stress. I offer VIP days, so any time there’s a new project, you can hire me without needing to keep a designer on retainer. This way, you get expert help exactly when you need it (without the hefty price tag). Finding a designer that can be flexible and doesn’t make you start from “square one” every time will help make updating your brand and assets feel more sustainable, which will feel so good!
Updating your brand is a big task, but you don’t have to do it alone. Download my free guide to make sure you’re not missing anything. And if you need more hands-on help, consider booking a VIP day with me. I’d love to help!
